The Altrincham.co.uk verdict
At the less fashionable end of George Street, Bap is a reminder that Altrincham's food scene isn't all artisan bakeries and trendy brunch spots. This traditional, affordable café has been going strong since 2005, and its popularity speaks volumes. It's well worth the walk up the street for a freshly made sandwich, baguette or jacket potato. Owners Marta and Dom have also built a loyal following through their warm welcome and genuine commitment to looking after customers of all ages.
