Lugo Coffee Shop is at 4 Pott Street, opposite Altrincham Market. Run by Kiki and Fotis, it serves coffee, cakes, pastries and daytime food in a relaxed café setting. Dogs are welcome, and outdoor seating is available. Its published opening hours are 8am–4pm Monday to Saturday and 9am–4pm Sunday.
The Altrincham.co.uk verdict
Lugo has breathed new life into the café adjoining Altrincham Health and Wellbeing Centre, just next door to the market. It's a great shout if you like your coffee served in a generously sized cup, while the new owners have brought a distinctly Greek flavour to the menu, with gyros, souvlaki and salads alongside an enticing selection of cakes and pastries. And with opening hours extended to 10pm on Fridays and Saturdays, it's no longer just a daytime destination.
